Beyoncé’s “MOVE” blasts in the background as we get ready. We catch the train into New York city. The line outside Le Bain snakes down the block, but we slip in.

Excitement builds as we ride the elevator to the top. The doors open—music thumping, strobe lights flashing, a pool is in the middle of the dance floor so girls take off their clothes to swim. We take double shots of whiskey.
